— The Eight —

Eight fragrances.
One slow burn.

Each scent is built around a single architectural note, then layered with raw, slow-evolving materials. Pour temperature, cure time, and wick diameter are dialled by hand for an even, unhurried throw.

— About the burn —

Seventy-five hours of measured warmth.

Our blend is 82% non-GMO soy and 18% Oregon beeswax — the soy holds fragrance, the beeswax burns clean and slow, the way a candle is supposed to. We cure each vessel for fourteen days before it leaves the studio.

Wicks are flat-braided lead-free cotton, sized individually to the jar diameter. The flame settles low, the pool stays even, and the wax disappears at exactly the rate it should.

Made to outlive
the wax inside.

Every candle is poured into the same vessel — a stoneware jar hand-thrown by a small studio in McMinnville, glazed in a matte bone finish that warms with use.

When the wax runs out, the jar stays. Return it through our refill program and we'll send a fresh pour in compostable packaging.

Refills are $28 each — $20 less than a new candle. Choose any of the eight fragrances. Shipping is included on returns.

Hana and Theo started OAK & EMBER in the back of a ceramics studio in 2021 with one wax pot and a small spreadsheet of scent blends. Five years on, we still pour every candle by hand on the same long oak table.

We work in batches of forty. Every jar is checked, weighed, numbered, and cured for two weeks before it's allowed to leave the building.
